Default Glenrothes - What now?

With the survival of Labour at Glenrothes, where Gordon Brown actually visited the constituency, where do we stand now?

Has Brown bounced, has the SNP slumped, or perhaps it was entirely down to local issues?

There's lots of speculation about a general election next year. What are your views, 2009 or 2010, and which would we do best in?

I'm actually glad - I detest the SNP far more than I do Labour. And I think Brown would still have an almighty beating at a general election.

ZaNuLabour may like to quote distinguished thespian Brian Blessed and say..

'Gordon's aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!'...

But it's BS. It may keep him in power a little longer and his party off his back, but please remember that THIS IS A MEGA-SAFE LABOUR SEAT.

ZNL could have put up an umbrella as long as it had a ZNL rosette on it.

So please don't get too worked up, ok?

The ones with real egg on their faces are the SNP who thought, after Glasgow East, they could take ZNL on anywhere in Jockland.
