Conservative Future in your area...
I am studying at Lancaster University and we have a CF group which has the reputation for being cliquey and not very approachable. Some of them individually are nice enough people, but I think on the whole they put people off finding out more about supporting the Conservatives and I think that is a shame.
What are the CF groups like where everyone else is and do you think they do a good job at representing the young Conservative supporters?

Michelle,
Don't be put off by the cliquiness of your uni's CF group!!
Get in their faces. Tell them you want to meet rich people and kill foxes!!
Better still, offer to deliver leaflets for them- or for some local tory candidate/politician who may need support.
They'll love you then. They are ALWAYS in need of foot soldiers.
Luv,
SokeBoy

I didn't say they didn't want me to join I said they just give a bad impression of themselves when they are out and about.
I take it you are being sarcastic, but you actually described me quite well. Though I dont want to MEET rich people, I want to BE one.

Well, by going into the legal profession I'm sure you'll become rich soon enough!
The trouble with the legal profession is many of them are smug, self-serving arrogant MFs!
Best of luck!

Not that you're generalising or anything...
All CF groups should be approachable - I found my one very welcoming when I was a fresher, and they now form a good majority of my social circle. If they are being defensive, then they're not doing their job properly, but I suppose that's just human nature.

Oh, of course not!
But let's be honest, lawyers are way down on the list of professions people trust- along with estate agents and politicians.
Anyway, I hope Michelle enjoys being a member of her uni CF group. I'm sure it will provide excellent networking and socialising opportunties.
I've also been told that Tories have the best totty. Sounds like an excellent reason for joining, but it may not be at the top of Michelle's list!

Hi Michelle
I have just taken over as chair of Lancaster CF!, perhaps your slightly right about the clique but I promise you that it has changed. A number of the members who could be accused have left.
I really hope you come see us again at Freshers Fair on Thursday October 2nd and give us another chance.

What is an MF?
I'm also not self serving, I do a lot of work via the university for local schools
If it is of any value to you, i stereotype people as well.
For example, socialists are whiney, two faced, fake people that sit around all day whinging about how things should be instead of actually doing anything about it. Except wasting their one and only vote on useless self serving governments like Labour.
Hmm...
I will think about joining CF I think
